FAQ

The most common questions about materials (solid wood, Strumber hemp lumber), finishes, care, and delivery for made-to-order furniture.

Do your pieces come with a warranty?

Yes — our furniture comes with a 2-year warranty. We do ask clients to use and place the piece responsibly: keep it away from radiators and strong sources of humidity or heat. If the furniture is exposed to such factors, the warranty does not apply.

Will the wood have knots?

It depends on the agreed style. We can propose oak panels (or other species) in a clean, knot-free look or a rustic grade with knots. We also fulfil custom requests such as burl/figured wood — we confirm this during the consultation and material selection.

What materials do you use to make your furniture?

We focus on natural materials: solid wood (selected for each project) and carefully chosen plant-based innovations, including Strumber hemp lumber. Each build is tailored to the function and aesthetics of the interior.

Do you use particleboard/MDF or veneers?

Our baseline is solid wood and long-lasting construction. If an alternative material is considered for structural reasons or a specific design requirement, we always discuss it during the consultation stage.

What finishes do you use? Are your lacquers safe?

We choose finishes based on real-life use. We work with lacquer/finish systems that meet strict safety standards (including those commonly used for children’s toys) as well as oils and hardwax oils. The final choice depends on the look and the level of resistance you need.

What is Strumber hemp lumber and how do you use it?

Strumber is a hemp-based material we use as a modern component in selected projects. It adds a distinct texture and contrast next to solid wood. The exact application (fronts, infills, details) is chosen for both structure and aesthetics.

How should I clean lacquered furniture day to day?

Use a soft microfiber cloth slightly dampened with water, then wipe dry. Avoid harsh detergents, alcohol-based cleaners, bleach, and abrasive sponges. For heavier dirt, use a gentle pH-neutral cleaner.

How should I clean oiled or hardwax-oiled furniture?

Clean gently with a damp microfiber cloth. For tougher dirt, use a product designed for oiled surfaces. Do not leave water on the surface—wipe dry. Depending on use, the surface can be refreshed periodically with a maintenance product.

Can solid wood move with humidity changes?

Yes—this is a natural property of solid wood. We design constructions to accommodate normal seasonal movement in typical home conditions. Avoid prolonged exposure to water and heat sources, and keep the indoor climate reasonably stable.

What if I get a scratch or a stain?

Small signs of use are normal. Many marks can be reduced or repaired (especially on oiled finishes). Message us and attach a photo—we’ll recommend the safest care or refresh method.

How do you deliver your furniture?

We most often deliver in person. This gives us full control over safe transport, carrying and positioning the piece. Details (timing, logistics, optional installation) are agreed individually.

Is everything made to order? What does the process look like?

Yes—our work is made to order. We start with a consultation, then select materials and finishes, confirm dimensions, build the piece, and finally organize safe delivery.
